What is screen printing? How are andARWEN products made?
Screen printing is a method of printing using mesh stencils. Every image is drawn by hand, separated into layers for each colour and transferred onto a screen using a light-sensitive coating. Once a screen has been prepared, water-based inks are pulled through the stencil by hand, one colour at a time, allowing the piece to dry between colours. Because of the handmade nature of these pieces and the manual process of mixing ink colours, each piece is unique and may contain small flaws and minor differences in colour – this is part of the charm!
How do I care for my fabric andARWEN products?
Pillow Cases: Remove from insert, turn inside out and machine wash in cold water. Hang to dry. Iron on the reverse side. Do not bleach.
Tea Towels: Machine wash in cold water. Hang to dry. Iron on the reverse side. Do not bleach.
Pouches: Spot clean when possible. If your pouch is very dirty, machine wash cold on the gentle cycle and hang to dry. If possible, wash inside of a lingerie wash bag. Do not bleach.
Scrunchies and Headbands: Spot clean when possible. If your scrunchie/headband is very dirty, machine wash cold on the gentle cycle and hang to dry. If possible, wash inside of a lingerie wash bag. Do not bleach.
For trickier stains I recommend this product. Avoid scrubbing any prints vigorously.
SHIPPING
How long will it take for my order to ship?
I do my best to process and ship orders within 7 business days (Monday-Friday). As a single person packing and producing every order I try very hard to get things out to you as soon as possible. If you need something sooner, please send me an email and I’ll do my best to accommodate your request! Some orders take longer and will be indicated on the listing.
Once your order has been shipped I am unable to make and changes or issue a refund. You will received an email with a shipping notification and tracking number. If you do not receive a tracking number, please check your spam folder before sending me an email.
How long will it take to receive my package after shipping?
Once an order has been shipped it will depend on the type of shipping that you selected at checkout! Expedited parcels within Canada usually will arrive within 7 business days and International parcels can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks. If you have not received your order within 30 business days I’d be happy to look into it for you!
I am not responsible for incorrect shipping addresses. If you realize that you've made an error please email any changes ASAP. You will receive email confirmation if a correction is received prior to shipment. There will be no refunds in this event.
I am not responsible for duties or taxes on any parcel.
POLICIES
What is the andARWEN exchange/return/refund policy?
All sales are final and I do not accept returns or exchanges. Due to the nature of hand printed products, the prints may have small imperfections or colour variations. That's part of the beauty of handmade products!
What about lost or stolen packages?
In many cases, packages marked as delivered but not received are a tracking error. In these cases packages often arrive within a week. Please ship your item to a safe and reliable location. If your package is late or lost in transit (tracking not shown as delivered), please email me and I will help to find the package or take other steps on a case-by-case basis. I am not liable for lost or stolen packages. Orders marked as delivered may not be refunded or replaced.
Who owns the rights to these designs?
All designs on this website are protected by Canadian and International Copyright Laws. Use of this site and its contents grants no rights to you in relation to any copyright, designs, trade marks and all other intellectual property relating to the products and any other items on this site.
You are permitted to use the items on social media only if each item is prominently credited to Arwen Giel, and/or andARWEN.com in which event the reproduction needs to be of the same quality as that which appears on this website and is not altered in any way.
